Umpiring in the MBA

The Madison Baseball Association contracts with the Madison Baseball Umpire Association to officiate all regular season and post season games in the Rookie, Minor, and Major Leagues. "I've heard it said that if you lose one of your five senses that the other four senses become much keener. That must be true because the same umpire who can't see a strike from two feet away can hear exactly what I mutter about him from across the diamond."

Umpiring youth baseball is like coaching youth baseball.....it's a privilege. Keep your authority in perspective. You get paid for doing this but you can not do it just for the money.
